The Centre Cultural de Jesús will set the stage for the IX Ibiza Vacation Tourist Housing Congress on October 19 and 20, 2023. This event will bring together experts and leaders from the tourism industry and is endorsed by AVAT, the Ajuntament de Santa Eulària, and the Consell d’Eivissa.
The congress will kick off on October 19 at 9:30 a.m. with registrations, followed by an official inauguration at 9:45 a.m. by local authorities and organizers. The first panel, titled "IBIZA AND ITS FUTURE AS A DESTINATION OF EXCELLENCE", will be moderated by the Consell d’Eivissa and will feature industry leaders such as Antonio Doménech, CEO of Vibra Hotels, and Pedro Matutes, President of the Gastronomy Academy of Ibiza and Formentera, among others.
Key topics will include "COLIVING AND DIGITAL NOMADS" as an innovative alternative to seasonal tourism. Discussions will also focus on the state's jurisdiction and tourism activities in VUT, as well as challenges facing the sector across the main Balearic islands. One of the most anticipated talks will be from forensic doctor Javier Alarcón, addressing the understanding of excessive tourism.
The congress will wrap up on October 20 with closing remarks by Marga Prohens, President of the Govern de les Illes Balears.
This event will serve as a platform for dialogue, training, and networking for all vacation tourism professionals. Through the presentations and discussion panels, innovative strategies and solutions are expected to emerge, further positioning Ibiza as a leading tourism destination of excellence.
